My Good Friend
We had so much fun together while we were attending Rippowam HS. I was extremely proud of you when you entered the Army. I was deeply saddened when I heard the news of your death. I often visit the wall and always touch your name and say a prayer for you. I still have your graduation photo with your signature and the comments you made to me. I have shown it to my family.
You are and will always be remembered.
Rest in peace my friend.
Your old friend.

Dear Uncle
Dear Uncle,
Though i did not know you, i feel as though i did. Its been 42 years since you've past and sacrificed your life for OUR country. My name is Holli, i'm 23 years old, and i'm your niece... i'm your brother Bob's youngest daughter. He's told me so much about you. He loves and misses you so much, and i'm sure he thinks about you with everyday that passes, as does the rest of the family i'm sure. But well.. i just feel the need to thank you. Thank you for your bravery and your honor. Thank you for your love and sacrifice for your country, if not for you and the others who fought and laid there lives on the line, i might not live in the same United States of America i happily do today. Your a hero to the people of your country-- our country, and your a hero to me and the rest of our family. I love you and even though i didnt know you, im lucky enough to know about you and i will NEVER forget you or the things you helped make possible for our United States. Thank you for watching over my dad, me and the rest of my family as i know you have, and keeping us safe. Till the day we finally meet in heaven face to face, i will never forget, nor let any one else forget your fight, honor and sacrifice. I love you Uncle. Thank You. And as you say in the army... Hooah!!!

Not forgotten
Fergus, Although we never met, I just want you to know you are not forgotten. You gave the ultimate sacrifice, your life for what you believed in. Sleep well my friend, and thank you for protecting the freedoms we have today.
