do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

As long as you are remembered you will never truly die....

Missing Herb

I grew up with Herb in my life. I was only 12 years old
when he died and I've grieved for a very long time.
He is one of the most amazing people I've ever known.
I know I will see Herb again and that's comforting to me.

Never forgotten

My mother, Janet, grew up with Herb and they had many amazing adventures together. I grew up hearing about how irreplaceable Herb was.
She would take us each year to the Cemetery in Virginia, MN to visit his grave.
She missed him everyday. I hope she is with him now in heaven.
I never knew him but knew much of him.
Giving thanks
