Personal Remembrance

You are not forgotten, John. We served together in the 1st Bn (MECH), 5th Inf, 25th Inf Div, and graduated from Infantry OCS, Ft Benning, 72nd Co, Class # 17-67. You were a brilliant student and helped me get through many an exam. We had some great times together in Columbus GA. You were a good friend and a brave soldier and that has been with me always. I remember that we both went downtown and bought cars right after graduation and then met up again in VN. 52 years is a long time, John, but the memories are still fresh. Thank you for your service, good friend. Until we meet again.
