One more year, I want to tell you that my search for your information has not ended, I am still looking for people who knew you, both on the battlefield and in your childhood and youth, you could not grow older like your comrades who survived the war, neither they nor I forget you. Rest in peace.

Today is my birthday and I am here again to remind you and the rest of your comrades, that on a day like today 51 years ago they fell in the Vietnam War. I have tried to write about you and your comrades, but it is very difficult to find information. I know that many people still remember you, I am one of them.

Dear Lt Martin Prast, Thank you for your service as an Infantry Unit Commander. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Yesterday was Flag Day. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

May those who served never be forgotten. Rest in peace 1LT. Prast, I salute your brave soul. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Lt. Martin T. Prast was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Valor, with Combat Distinguishing Device (V), for his exemplary heroism under fire. He served as an
Infantry Unit Commander and was assigned to the 3RD PLT, C CO, 1ST BN, 11TH INFANTRY, 5TH INF DIV.
