Ronald Edward Baggett
Ronnie served is country in two tours in Vietnam. He was 20 year old, his first tour was in 1967. Ronnie was my husband of 36 years and he was a wonderful man. He was very loyal to his country and to his beliefs. He was a father of two daughters and grandfather to four. Ronnie's doctors said that he had had the cancer for several years and it was non-small cell carcinoma (the slow growing kind). He endured chemotherapy and radiation with a cheerfulness that made all the nurses and doctors love him. He never said, Why me? He just kept a positive attitude and fought as hard as he could, just like he did everything in his life. The cancer spread to his bones and more radiation was given to his head as it spread to the brain. He died with as much dignity as possible, the same way he lived his life. Agent Orange was the contributor to the cancer that caused his death at age 55. If anyone deserves this honor, my husband does. He was true throughout and loved his country.
