Biography

Terence Dale Beavers was born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Gustavis Beavers Sr. and Daisy Crenshaw on April 16,1945. He was the middle child of three boys. After high school Terry as he was affectionately called joined the United States Army in 1967. One of his proudest achievements was that of service to his country. Terry trained as an instrument repairman. He served in combat veteran in Vietnam from December of 1968 to December of 1969. He was conferred the Vietnam Service Award, Silver Star, Sharpshooter Rifle, and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.

After serving in Vietnam, he returned to The States and was honorably discharged in June of 1970. In 1972 Terry began working at Ford Motor Co. A member of United Auto Workers Local 900, he would work at Ford until he retired in April 2007 after 34 years.

Terry met the love of his life, Benita White, in 1971 and they happily married 2 years later. They shared a love of travel both domestically and around the globe. God blessed their union with two children, Kelley and Kristopher. Through the marriage of his children, he was blessed with an additional son, Ronald Daniels, and daughter, Meghan Brown.

Terry loved the Lord and was a man of great faith, trusting God in all situations. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, and brother, uncle and friend. He always had an ear to listen, kind words of encouragement, and a helping hand. Terry was one of one, passionate about God, his family, and serving.

Terry departed this life for his eternal heavenly home April 16th, 2020, his 75th birthday. Son, Brother, Husband, Dad, Uncle, “Poppy“ to his 4 grandkids, or friend, no matter what we called you we all miss and love you.
