Johnny, a strong, natural leader

Johnny was a natural, strong leader. We can see why he was in charge of his men when he was only 24. He also had a pastor’s heart. He loved the Lord and he loved people, and they knew it. We honor him.

Wonderful Man Who loved the Arab World

Johnny was a wonderful man. He loved this country, but he was really in love with his Lord. He helped inspire my wife and I to go to the Arab World. He made a big impact on our lives.

Uncle Johnny

As a child, I loved Johnny as my fun uncle whose presence would light up a room - full of smiles, laughter, and jokes. As I became an adult I began to see his heart for serving others, his love for this country, and his deep faith. He was an educator, mentor, coach, father, and husband who loved deeply. He sacrificed his needs to serve others for many years. He and Rosemary talked with me about cultures, languages, teaching, serving, and especially about Christ and our journey of faith. We all prayed together and encouraged each other regularly. We all love you Uncle Johnny and miss you so. Rosemary is deeply loved and cared for. What a day it will be when we all are together again!
