Robert Antone
Robert Conrad Kalei Antone
Robert Kalei Antone was born and raised in Honolulu Hawaii. Joined the Marines and did Training at Camp Pendleton in California. He was a very proud Marine. He worked at a grocery store in Bakersfield, California then co-owned one in McFarland, California. He then became Chief Engineer at Four Points Sheraton in Bakersfield. He loved to play the Ukulele and sing. He loved taking his children to Sea World. He loved his family: wife Mary Ellen, children Leilani and Robert and grandchildren Courtney Kalei and Jaycee Kaleialii. He visited his 6 siblings and nieces and nephews in Hawaii very often. He never talked about the time in the military as he saw and experienced awful things in Vietnam. His son passed away from cancer in June 2010 and he shut down as if he was still in Vietnam. He was never the same. He sat at home and only went out to watch his grandson run track or play football. He suffered from Agent Orange and PTSD. He was loved very much.
