Biography

My life history began in Rochester, New York 18 February 1941. This is my rags to riches story. Early years lived in Rochester, New York, moved to Wolcott, New York as a teenager. Best move I made was enlisting in the Army March 1958. My first tour of duty in Europe as a aircraft technician. Returning to civilian life March 1961 working for the Village of Wolcott returning to the Army in October 1965. I was assigned to Project Flattop aboard the USNS Corpus Christi Bay an Aircraft Maintenance Depot Ship. Serving 2 ½ tours in Viet Nam returned to civilian life July 1974 at Fort Hood, Texas. Worked as an Aircraft Technician at Fort Hood until 1979; worked Augusta International in Yemen until August 1981. Returned military with the Texas National Guard in 1979 until retiring from Civil Service September 1996; military retirement in March 2001. I faithfully served the Nation for over 6 decades and am very proud of all my military service 1958 through 2001. I enjoy bowling, traveling, reading, my grandchildren Ann Marie and Lawrence, beloved weiner dog Clyde. A member bf the 124th Cavalry Regiment, Disabled Veterans, American Legion and Life member of the VFW, and USS Albermarle/Corpus Christi Bay Association. I have visited all 50 states, Europe, Viet Nam, Australia, Singapore, Japan, and Yemen. My wife Suzie and I took over 20 cruises to locations such as Panama Canal, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Eastern and Western Caribbean. I was able to do everything on my bucket list, some of these items include swimming with the dolphins, riding with the lditarod dogs, volcanos in Hawaii, glaciers in Alaska, Mount Rushmore, Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls and many more. I died on the original Memorial Day May 31st to complete my military career and life. GOD is great.
