IN MEMORY HONOR ROLL

Gregory Francis Hollinger was born in Faribault, MN on December 21,1947 to Arlene and Francis Hollinger. He's father died before his birth. Greg was raised By his mother and stepfather Donald Huss with one brother and four sisters. He attended school in Faribault under the name Gregory Huss. After graduating from Faribault High School in 1966, Greg enlisted in the Marine Corp. He was deployed to Vietnam where he was wounded in the neck by a snipers bullet. After recovering he was stationed to Marine Barracks 8th and I in Washington, DC. Greg served as a honor guard at White House and walked Chesty in the Marine parades. While in DC Greg married Caroline Hinkle. They moved to Southern Maryland where they raised four children. He worked his home improvementbusiness. He divorced and moved to FL. Greg was diagnosedwith cancer. He returned to Maryland for treatment. During Greg's treatment he met Diana Gates. They married and took up residents in Colonial Beach, VA. Greg was active in the VFW both local post 10574 and Department 13. He was also a member of the American Legion #148. Greg passed at home on December 21, 2018 after many years of being treated for LLC, COPD and other medical problems.
