Biography
Michael Arthur Corcoran served with the Army in Vietnam between December 1967 and February 1969. During this time he received two Bronze Stars and the Silver Star for gallantry in action. After suffering severe wounds, Mike returned home to Vermont where he found the DAV. For ten years, he worked tirelessly for the veterans he represented. In May 1994, Mike was diagnosed with Lung Cancer related to his exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam. He died on June 30, 1994 at the age of 47 having lived just long enough to hold his first grandchild.
