Biography
Daniel Charles LaBarge served with the Marine Corps in Vietnam from October 1968 to October 1969. After his return home, Dan was very involved in chess activities in New York State. His life was a shining example of what is meant by civic virtue. On March 24, 1994, Dan took his own life. He had always remained proud of his service to his country.
