King of the Guard Tower

I served with Bill in Ontos Platoon, H&S Co., 2nd Bn/26th Marine Regt in Vietnam in 1969. He was a great guy and a good friend. I am stunned at how early he passed. While in the battalion rear area he and I stood guard duty on the outer perimeter of the 26th Marine Regt/1st Marine Division Defensive line outside of Da Nang.
