My Father, My Hero
Posted for: JAMES STEVENS DRAVIS JR:
You will never be forgotten! You will live in my heart forever. I pray to God to see you in my dreams. I have been told my whole entire life that I look just like you even down to the way I walk. I wonder if you can see me. A few years ago I saw your brother, Uncle Ralph, and my eyes were drawn to his, he has your eyes. I kept imagining what you would look like today. You have three beautiful grandchildren, Blake, Brooke, and Bella. The girls look like me and therefore like you. I would give anything to see you playing with them. I think that the older I get, the harder it is to deal with you being gone especially since I was just a baby. I know that others have never recovered from your loss. Two years ago, I got to go through some of your things, and read some of the letters that you sent to mom from Vietnam. It meant so much to me to be able to get to know you through your letters. The references that you made regarding your baby girl, I will always cherish. I know that one day I will see you when we are reunited in Heaven and I look forward to that day. I love you daddy!!!! Always!!!!!!
