He was a mentor

Jim was an experienced soldier when I reported in to Co. C, 2nd of the 2nd Mech, 1st Infantry Div. He could have taken an easy job, but that was not in his nature.
I never knew he was from Reno. I was a Ct. Yankee then but have lived in Las Vegas for a long while now.
As Jim Bane and Les Knott said in their remembances, Jim Clark will always be remembered by those of us who were fortunate enough to know him.
