Every year on Father's Day, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF) volunteers and staff place thousands of roses at the base of The Wall in Washington, D.C. to honor the fathers who never made it home, those whose lives were cut short as a result of their service, as well as the men who never got a chance to start families of their own.
It's a beautiful sight to see.
You can take part in this powerful moment of remembrance by joining VVMF at The Wall beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 19 for the Father's Day Rose Remembrance. We encourage our supporters to join us to help lay 3,000 roses at the base of the Memorial.
If you can't make it to Washington, D.C.,you can also sponsor one or more memorial roses today.
If you're a friend, family member, or fellow veteran of the 58,315 service members on The Wall, or those in our In Memory program, sponsoring a rose is a wonderful way to honor their memory on Father's Day.
