Each year on Memorial Day, thousands of veterans and their families congregate at The Wall to remember and to honor those who died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. On this special day, prominent Americans from all walks of life come to the Memorial to deliver thoughtful and patriotic speeches.
The Memorial Day Ceremony at The Wall is open to the public. Please RSVP for the reserved ceremony seating by clicking here.
For more information about the annual ceremonies at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, please contact VVMF at (202) 393-0090 or via e-mail at vvmf@vvmf.org.
WREATH LAYING
To lay a wreath at the Memorial Day Observances at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, an organization must register with VVMF at www.vvmf.org/WreathLayingRSVP or by e-mailing at dschira@vvmf.org. Reservations for Memorial Day must be received before May 1.
All respondents will have their wreaths displayed during the ceremony, and be given the opportunity to lay the wreath after the ceremony.
RSVPing does not guarantee your wreath will be part of the Memorial Day Program. There is only space for 20 veteran organization wreaths in the official wreath laying presentation during the ceremony program. Wreaths should be delivered to Vietnam Veterans Memorial kiosk by 10:00 AM on Monday, May 27th, and presenters will need to be at the memorial by 12:00pm. If there are late arrivals, or no shows, VVMF will give slots to other respondents.
