Joint Programs with the National Park Service
Memorial Preservation is a joint effort among the Memorial Fund, the National Park Service and highly qualified achitects and engineers. Some of the services provided by the Memorial Fund include insuring The Wall against catastrophic damage and paying for annual name additions and status changes.
Volunteers provide assistance to the Memorial's visitors by helping to locate names on The Wall, providing history lessons and aiding with name rubbings. The Memorial Fund furnishes the volunteers with the necessary supplies to continue their useful work and honors them each year at a luncheon. |
