The 33rd annual Memorial Day Observance at The Wall, hosted jointly by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund and the National Park Service, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on May 25th. Jan C. Scruggs, the Vietnam veteran who led the movement to build The Wall and established the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF), has announced his retirement. On June 30, 2015, Scruggs will step down as president of VVMF. Day-to-day operations of VVMF have been turned over to Jim Knotts, CEO since October 2014. MORE
VVMF’s Faces Never Forgotten photo collection campaign has reached another milestone. With the addition of the photo of SGT Stephen J. Smith of Convoy, Ohio, VVMF has now reached 40,000 photos collected. The goal of the campaign is to collect a photo for the 58,300 inscribed on The Wall. MORE
