    Dave, you and I shared four years together at USCGA and you were a good friend and fellow Californian. Your positive attitude and good humor were refreshing interludes in our challenging life there. I thank you for your service to our country and to the sacrifice you made so early in your life. You are missed.

    Dear Lt, JG Brostrom,
    Thank you for your service as an Unrestricted Line Officer from the U.S. COAST GUARD CUTTER POINT WELCOME. It is another summer, as time continues to pass since Vietnam. It is important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
