  • My Good Friend

Donovan was a friend from grade school and high school. He and I spent nights at each other’s homes and played and fished in Beaver Creek. A good friend gone too soon.

  • He was friends with my grandparents

He was a member of my church before I was born. He was stationed at Fairchild AFB and was friends with my Grandfather whose nickname was Lucky. I had his POW bracelet as a child and kept it but lost it in a house fire. The Vietnam Memorial Mobile Wall is in town this weekend and I plan to visit it with my family and I will get a rubbing of his name. I never knew him, but I feel connected to him through family. I'm a historian now and I will forever teach my students about him and Operation Linebacker. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

This is to Christine..your daughter..I posted in 2014 trying to let your family know I have your POW bracelet. I wore it for decades and now have it in my dresser drawer. I was so glad to see a recent post from someone so I could let them know. If anyone would like to have it I am happy to get it to them. My name is Jan. Sending love and strength..
