  • Last of the trio

The unholy trio, as we were known, consisted of Staff Sergeant Ramsay, Staff Sergeant Donald L. Dolan and Staff Sargent James (Jim) Schiewe.

We served on the Inspector- Instructor staff of the 25th Rifle Company, Gary Indiana late 1950's

SSgt Dolan (Sergeant Major, USMC,Retired) passed away from a stoke. Only I am left to look back and remember. Thanks chuck for the great times and the great memories we shared.

  • Remembering An American Hero

Dear LTC Charles James Ramsay, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

    With respect, Sir

    Curt Carter

  • Gone but not forgotten

Even as the years pass, no one can understand the loss of my father, Charles James Ramsay, LTC.
I never had a father to tuck me in at night, to walk me to school, see me graduate or see his beautiful grandchildren, and now great grandchildren.
Embrace the time you have with your own fathers and keep mine in your hearts.
