  • Remembering Bob at our 50th Bates College Reunion

Posted on 7/21/14 - by Margaret S. "Gretchen" Ziegler
Though Bob was one of the first members of our class to pass away, we remembered him at our 50th Reunion at Bates College. Bob was a campus leader, becoming the first President of the all college Student Government, replacing the women's and men's systems previously. I had the honor of working beside him as we planned and enacted the new system, and served as the first Vice President. He lives on in the memory of the 1964 graduates of Bates College.

The Wall of Faces

Brought to you by the organization that built The Wall, the Vietnam Veterans Virtual Memorial Wall is dedicated to honoring, remembering and sharing the legacies of all those who died in the Vietnam War. Here you can go beyond the names on The Wall to see the faces, share the stories and read the remembrances posted by friends, neighbors, classmates and family members.

All of these photos will be showcased in The Education Center at The Wall on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. To learn more about the effort to collect these photos and ensure their faces will never be forgotten, visit www.buildthecenter.org.
