Dear PFC Robert Wilson Ortiz, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

    With respect, Sir

    Curt Carter

You are a hero in my eyes. I know there is not a day that goes by that my father does not think about you. He pulled out your knife when we were looking at this website last night and i could see it brought back a mixture of emotions. When we went to washington we went to the wall. I have never seen my dad like that a day in my life. I will never forget that day it as long as i live. You were an inspiration to my father and he thinks of you everyday. Rest in Peace
