It's been fifty years. You died 13 years before I was born. But your sacrifice has always been apart of my life and my family's as well. I've read the letters from your fellow marines that served with you. All of them tell the same story of a selfless charismatic Marine. I've always idolized you, I've heard countless stories from my father about you. He always described you as bigger than life person, a man's man. I've stood at your grave with my "Nee" as she cried her eyes out. She missed u so bad. I know yall are together now. I/ my family will always wonder what our story would be if u came home. So many possible outcomes... My son has been told your tale and it lives in him as it does in me.
