    Whereby our dead shall sleep
    In honour unbetrayed
And we in faith and honor sleep
That peace for which they paid.

Hey dad, it is me, your son robert baldwin Miley. It is almost Christmas.i think of you so very much especially at Christmas. I am so proud of you and so proud to be your son. I sure miss you. You are my hero. Even though our time together was short you have guided in a most positive way my whole life . I've become a man you can be proud of. I served my country as well because of your example. You taught me how important freedom is and that it comes at a very high price. You have taught me that the American Dream is worth dying for. I love you dad.

  • My only brother...so beloved so missed

Posted on 12/21/13 - by Gayle Baldwin
We were born 11 months apart, so we were much like twins. So when he left, a part of me left. I remember the day. We all were gathered at home on December 23, 1972 when the car drove up and the two uniforms came to the door. They sat us down in the living room where all I could see was the piano that my brother could make sing, make people laugh. He loved to fly on so many levels and he is flying now. I miss him all of the time.

Dear Captain William Robert Baldwin, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

    Curt Carter
