You are the uncle I never got to meet. I remember the day dad got the call that you were KIA like it was just yesterday. Dad was devastated. He accompanied your body from Dover, Delaware to your final resting place in Jesup,GA. Your family laid you to rest. We are exceedingly humbled by your sacrifice. Dad went back for one more tour after you died. He never really got over your death. We buried him in Arlington National Cemetery on October 15, 2010. Your father FINALLY was given the military headstone he deserved. Dad asked that we keep after the VA to get it. Your sister Shirley stayed on them till we got it. RIP along with all of the other heroes. You are in good company.

    Love you

Dear LCPL Lavle Jimmy Hall, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

    Curt Carter
