I also have worn and faithfully kept Alan Ashall's bracelet. It now rests on a branch of my patriotic tree. The Traveling Wall set up in Oscoda, MI and I went to see it especially to find Alan's name. I was so overjoyed to find it, and made a tracing of his name. I hope his family feels a measure of solace knowing that so many years later, Alan is still remembered with love and eternal gratitude.

Family of Alan F. Ashall. My son, an Iraq combat vet, has given me Alan F. Ashall's MIA bracelet to wear. Thank you to LCDR Ashall for his service and my condolences to your family for the unknown you deal with. As a mother of a combat veteran my heart aches for you.

The Wall of Faces

Brought to you by the organization that built The Wall, the Vietnam Veterans Virtual Memorial Wall is dedicated to honoring, remembering and sharing the legacies of all those who died in the Vietnam War. Here you can go beyond the names on The Wall to see the faces, share the stories and read the remembrances posted by friends, neighbors, classmates and family members.

All of these photos will be showcased in The Education Center at The Wall on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. To learn more about the effort to collect these photos and ensure their faces will never be forgotten, visit www.buildthecenter.org.
