    Dear PFC Daryl English,
    Thank you for your service as a General Vehicle Repairman. We remember all you who gave their all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

    We were on the SRRP patrol that day when thedinks walked in on our November Lima Night locacation . we relocated and in the dark they opened up on us wiyh small arms and 60MM mortar barrage I recall Daryl was the RTO meaning radio operator he also liked carrying the M-14 any way it was caotic mortars blasting until one hit close mortally wouded daryl blowing my hat &classes and the round I was loading in theM-79 it also wounded Jim Herman who was on my right, I can still see Daryls face as we carried him to the medivac chopper. I ll never forget his face as we loaded him on the chopper. wealll mourned the loss of our brother he fought valiantly. Stoney Stoneham was his close friend. healso helped carry him.
