    Dear Ronald Eidson,
Thank you for your service as a Pioneer. Your 49th anniversary just passed, so sad. We remember all you who gave their all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Dear CPL Ronald Lee Eidson, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

    With respect, Sir

    Curt Carter

If I can remember, you were not in country for very long before you met your untimely death. I know that we were on a convoy going up Highway 1 or QL1 as it was called. The convoy stopped for some reason I don't remember why. While we were stopped waiting for the convoy to proceed again you took a picture of me with the rice paddies and some of the highway that we built. It deeply saddened me that when I got the pictures back to look at them I remembered that it was you who took that picture of me. Thanks my friend. I will always have something to remember you by. Rest in peace.
