  • Thank You

    Dear Sp5 William Eberhardt,
Thank you for your service as a Huey, UH-1 Helicopter Repairer. We remember all you who gave their all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
  • Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP5 William Henry Eberhardt, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

    With respect, Sir

    Curt Carter

8/31/15 Thinking of my brother-in-law Bill Eberhardt who was killed in action 50 years ago tomorrow in Vietnam. I was only 11 years old at the time, but I still remember the impact it had on myself and our family. I also remember begin overcome with emotion the first time I saw his name on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC a few years back. Didn't expect that so many years later! Rest in peace Bill and all our fallen soldiers! Your sacrifices are not forgotten.
  • Thinking of my friend and fellow crew chief in Vietnam

    Hello, Bill,

I think of you often and am compelled to visit your Web site. It's fine, but it doesn't do you justice. Nothing could. I remember your friendly, outgoing nature, your professionalism, and your willingness to help a colleague in need. I remember always feeling just a little safer if my buddy, Bill, was the crew chief flying on my wing.
Sleep peacefully, my friend, and know you are thought of often.
