Dear SP4 Jackie Clyde Dehart, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

    With respect, Sir

    Curt Carter

we will be coming to see you on Memorial Day 2011. Thanks to Ray 'Bubba' Sorensen, your likeness and a likeness of 'Uptight 33' will be on the Vietnam side of 'The Freedom Rock'.
Now others will be able to see an American Hero who made the Ultimate Sacrifice for our great Nation.
You will once again hear the engines of a Mohawk, as The National Anthem comes to a close on that day.
We will all, in spirit, be riding in tribute to you my friend.
You are always in our minds and in our hearts.

Jackie my friend, I continue you hold you near and dear in my heart. I am honored to let you know that you will be Memorialized on 'The Freedom Rock' on Memorial Day 2011.
'The Freedom Rock' is located on Highway 25, a mile South of Interstate 80, 45 miles West of Des Moines, Iowa.
The artist, Ray 'Bubba' Sorensen, has told me he will put you image on the 'Vietnam' side of the rock. He will also paint a Mohawk with #33 on the nose, and the tail
I have arranged for a Mohawk Fly Over, and am working to see how many 'Mohawkers' I can get to come see you.
Ron, Gene and I continue to get together each year for the OV-1 Mohawk Association Reunions. I talked about this project at the reunion this past year in Dayton, Ohio. The interest was a pleasant surprise for me.
I have talked with Mona about this. I am hoping the she and Bob can make it too.
Till we meet on 'The Flight Line', you will continue to be missed.
    Merry Christmas my Friend
