    Dear PFC Paul Davis,
Thank you for your service as an Airborne Qualified Infantryman. Your 50th anniversary was a few days ago....We are celebrating our holy days. It is a time of joy, and may that be yours in heaven. It is so important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Paul, I hope that the Highway Dedication that your Elder class of 66 has worked to have placed on Glenway Ave will serve as a constant reminder of the sacrifice you and the ten others made for us. I remember sitting behind you in many of our classes in our four years at Elder. The most memorable one was Fr. Westerhof's Religion class. Some fond memories and I hope others remember them as well as I do.

Dear PFC Paul Patrick Davis, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

    Curt Carter

All of these photos will be showcased in The Education Center at The Wall on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. To learn more about the effort to collect these photos and ensure their faces will never be forgotten, visit
