  • Thank You

    Dear Ssgt Erle Davis,
I hope your photo is put here because this is a wall of faces and yours is missing. Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. We are celebrating Passover and Easter. It is a time of joy, and may that be yours in heaven. It is so important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

  • Remembering An American Hero

Posted on 10/14/13 - by Curt Carter
Dear SSGT Erle Fletcher Davis, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

    Curt Carter

Erle, Although we never met, I just want you to know you are not forgotten. You gave the ultimate sacrifice, your life for what you believed in. Sleep well my friend, and thank you for protecting the freedoms we enjoy today.
Erle, I read your son's tribute to you, you must be very proud of him, and still watching over him.

  • I MISS YOU DAD!

    DEAR DAD,
EVENTHOUGH I HAVE NEVER HAD THE COURAGE TO VISIT THE WALL IN PERSON, I AM STILL SO PROUD OF YOU, AND I HAVE NEVER, NOR SHALL I EVER FORGET YOU. I WISH THAT YOU COULD HAVE SEEN ME GROW UP. I JUST HOPE THAT YOU WOULDN'T BE DISSAPOINTED. I HAVE BECOME A POLICE OFFICER, SO IN MANY WAYS I TURNED OUT ALMOST LIKE YOU. I AM SO PROUD OF YOU AND WHAT YOU STOOD FOR. IT HAS BEEN HARD GROWING UP WITH JUST A MEMORY OF YOU, BUT AT LEAST I HAVE THAT. I LOVE YOU DAD, AND I AM SO VERY PROUD THAT YOU ARE MY FATHER. YOUR ONLY SON, ERLE
