Hoagland USMC BS killed Quang Nam 4/24/1970; that I procrastinated acknowledging your loss. Like all more than 58000, you're NOT forgotten!

Dear CPL Peter Jason Angle, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

    Curt Carter

  • My sister dated Peter in High School.

Posted on 7/16/13 - by Jim Cunningham ,
My sister, Mary Cunningham Spinar dated Peter while we all attended Yorktown Senior High, in Arlington, Va.. I was a junior, my sister a senior, righ before he enlisted in the Army. About 2 years later, the day my sister got married Alan Spinar, he was killed in action. in Vietnam. My Dad, Congressman Glenn Cunningham of Nebraska found out that Peter was Killed . Since Mary and I (Jim Cunningham) were very close, so my dad asked me to tell her about the loss. She was sad that her old boyfriend was killed, but she was very glad in that same day she was to be married. Lucy, was on the coves of many young ladies mag's including Madamosell and Seventeen. We were in French class together.
I am glad to know she got married to a musician...Good luch Lucy....Jim
