    Although we never met personally, I want to thank you Jimmy Michael Couto, for your courageous and valiant service, faithful contribution, and your most holy sacrifice given to this great country of ours!

    Your Spirit is alive--and strong, therefore Marine, you shall never be forgotten, nor has your death been in vain!

    Again, thank you LCPL Jimmie Michael Couto, for a job well done!

    Though it's been over thirty years, I've not forgotten you.
    It was so close, it could have been me, but I only lost an
    eardrum, you lost your life. You were so calm under fire,
    it helped the rest of us to stay somewhat together. I think
    of you often with pride in having spent time with you. I
    lost my watch, too.
