Name Additions
May 3, 2007
The names of three American servicemen were inscribed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in May. Expert stone workers from Colorado-based Engrave Write made the inscriptions as well as 14 status changes from missing-in-action to killed-in-action. The number of names on the Memorial is now 58,256.
Below are photos of Army Sergeant Richard Monroe Pruett's name being inscribed. Sgt. Pruett’s wife, Ann Pruett of Sherman, Texas, was on hand to witness the addition of her husband’s name to Panel 21 W, Line 38 of the Memorial.
